Growing up in an African household, my parents' dream was for me to become a doctor. I wasn't the best student and the social aspect of school was what kept me going. After high school I quit playing sports and wanted to be a "normal"college student. I lost focus and determination without an organized sport.

I was given an opportunity by a Junior College football coach that changed my world forever. I started as a videographer, filming practices and games. He took me under his wing and taught me the ends and outs of running a football program. This is what reignited the spark for my passion of sports. I fell in love with football. I worked my way up and earned a position as the Director of Football Operation at another Junior College in Los Angeles. Working in Los Angeles was an eye opening experience to the great amount of needs that student athletes had.

I received an offer to work for a national Junior College in Kansas as the football team's Director of Player Relations and Sports Information Director. The football program was featured on Last Chance U season 3. It was an experience I will never forget  but was short lived as a two month stint. Lost and confused at what I thought was a failed attempt at bettering my career I hit an all time low. For two months I sulked in self pity and thoughts of not being good enough to make it in this career field.

January 1st, 2018 I determined that I was no longer going to feel bad for myself. I needed to find a way to use my talents and experience to help athletes. I googled 'how to start a non-profit'. Through many trials and errors, I came up with KARES inc and the rest is history.
